ok, I tried this after I installed Gentoo Linux on my HTPC last week, and it gives superb results with mplayer -vo dfbmga.
VERY nice image quality on the TV, MUCH better than using mga_vid in combination with matroxset to swap the heads and the endless fights with fbset to get as close to full overscan as possible.
Installation was a breeze, everything worked the first time trying. -
hmmm, seems like the field order sometimes is incorrect... pausing then unpausing seems to fix it sometimes???? weird...Comment
