  • Mounting NFS in SAMBA?

Is this possible on Red Hat 9?

-Mount an NFS share on Computer A onto Computer B (running RH9)

-Share the mount on Computer B using SAMBA so that computers X, Y, and Z can indirectly access the NFS share.

I know you can't share a shared drive in windows, just wondering if it was possible w/ Samba.

Theoretically it's possible - however I wouldn't expect it to be completely trouble-free due to locking issues etc.
Blah blah blah nick blah blah confusion, blah blah blah blah frog.

Just tested it. Works like a charm (for simple filetransfers etc.)

We use Samba as an AFS repeater and it works fine too. The only real issue would be to try to enable write support to Samba clients.

albatorsk - Sweet! Thanks! Were you able to WRITE to the NFS share from computers X, Y, and Z?
