  • Unix / OS X Benchmarking tools?

Hey all, I've never really done benchmarking before except with something like SANDRA on windoze. But at work we are receiving a test G5 from Apple to play with and I'll need to run it through the gauntlet. Any advice on tools to us or any tips you guys can offer?

    Thanks,
    Thien

You could use specbench works on both PC and OS-X

You can adapt the specview to run on OS-X
    Main: Dual Xeon LV2.4Ghz@3.1Ghz | 3X21" | NVidia 6800 | 2Gb DDR | SCSI
    Second: Dual PIII 1GHz | 21" Monitor | G200MMS + Quadro 2 Pro | 512MB ECC SDRAM | SCSI
    Third: Apple G4 450Mhz | 21" Monitor | Radeon 8500 | 1,5Gb SDRAM | SCSI
