Generally when you install another distro, it'll just create a new boot sector for ya. Whether or not it uses GRUB or lilo or whatever. I should know, I've tried out plenty of linux distros. May I suggest Libranet? Debian based, and even 100 % debian compliant, so you can actually use the Sarge or Sid from debian. That's what I currently use, and I love it. But if you really like the RPM, Mandrake is quite good.
