I don't have a parhelia to test with, but i can tell for a G400. The kernel 2.6.0 seem's to have some sort of bug with the framebuffer... i can't compile neither mplayer nor directfb against it.

I've been using 2.5 and 2.6 tests for a while now. I have a G200 and everything (besides TV capture) works spiffy without having to deal with downloading stuff besides the kernel.

I've been running the -mm test kernels on my laptop for a while now (and even my 486 for a little while). I haven't really been stressing it though, so I'll refrain from commenting on it.

All we need now is for them to sort out the mess w.r.t. NPTL and the kernel headers.

@spazm: Here, try this. I've been using his patches with the 2.5 and 2.6 test series for many months and been able to use mplayer and directfb, etc.

              ftp://platan.vc.cvut.cz/pub/linux/ma...roxfb-2.6.0.gz

They changed the fb api and this patch allows you to still do all the cool stuff G400's can do in Linux.
