Okay thats Linux repaired one little question

Had to re-install Mozilla as half the menus dropped off and some of the remaining few changed into French or German. Go and figure. No problems with that.
Updated Opera and stuck it on the menu but how do you give it an icon. There doesn't seem an option under KDE or I'm just blind.

You're just blind Under KDE you can just go to K -> Settings -> Menu Editor. Find where Opera is, then select it, and it should have a spot that you can click on to tell it which icon to use. Sorry it took so long to reply, I wanted to make sure myself, and I rarely use KDE myself. Just installed 3.1.4 in debian, and that's where the menu editor is there. Good luck.

Yup blind saw it striaght away when brought it up again. Then it was a case of hunting around for the correct icons.
