mandrake 9.2 3 monitor?

    mandrake 9.2 3 monitor?

    hey guys I havent used linux for like... 2-3 years and I have abosolutely no idea if it is possible to run it across 3 screens streched mode like windows can. Im dling the 9.2 mandrake... I use to use redhat but apparently mandrake is better for gaming. . so where can I get the drivers? and how to I se up the tri screen strechmode.... or does it have powerdesk to do it for me?

    Well, to answer all your questions...Yes, it'll run stretched across 3 screens (unlike windows you can even use it in Independant across three monitors! ). I'm not sure exactly why Mandrake would be better than Redhat for gaming, but ok.. Actually any linux distro would be just as good as another for playing games, depending of course on what games you want to play...

    For Triple-Head, you'll want to get the driver from Matrox, you'll have to fill out their request form for the pro driver. Here's my XF86Config-4 for Triple Head Independant mode. Here is the one for Triple-Head Stretched mode. You'll have to use the one for stretched mode if you want your games to go across all three screens. (it works in Neverwinter Nights, but I haven't tried any other games).

    Good luck, if you need any help with modifying them, just post on here. Usually what I do is make a backup of your original/single-head and then copy over the THI or triple headed one.

    If you need help compiling the module and such... well, we can work on that too

      ur links are broked but tnx fo rthe other help. and about mandrake being better for gaming.. I dun really know myself cuz i havent been around linux for a long time so I got myself updated by asking many linux users and lookin gat forums. um is it possible to get another link for both tripple head modes\ again?

        Oops, my mistake. When I slapped 'em on my web server, I did a chmod +r XF* so that there was read permissions for both of them, but I guess it didn't like the wildcard. You should be able to use them both now.
