  • Sun OS boot loader?

Is there GRUB or LILO or anything for Sun Solaris?

  • #2
Assuming you're talking about Solaris on x86, GRUB or LILO should surely be able to boot Solaris themselves. You just need to figure out what Solaris needs. Probably you'll need to chainload the boot Solaris partition, or perhaps a particular file on that partition.

    Best of luck...
Blah blah blah nick blah blah confusion, blah blah blah blah frog.

Edit: Whoops. I assumed you meant Solaris on a Sun Sparc.

You could try SILO, that's what I use. Even though it is a Linux loader, it can also start Solaris.
If you just was a method of booting different partitions, then I suggest simply using OpenBoot before any bootloader is started.

Well then, SILO and OpenBoot are your friends.
