Since even the 1.1.0 beta drivers still don't support Xv, DirectFB, etc. I was wondering if there was another option for scaling video to full screen. Using "-vo x11 -zoom" is not an option since it is too damn slow.
I should have bought an ATI.

If you're using the kernel module, the mtx driver should support Xv. At least it worked for me. What do you get if you run "xvinfo" from within X? Is "extmod" being loaded during startup of X? (Check your XF86Config or xorg.conf)

I got it working now. I was using the gentoo ebuild and didn't realize the module didn't compile. But now I get the well known lockup after shutting down KDE. It wouldn't be a problem if it didn't trash my KDE settings every once and awhile. I will just have to wait for a new driver release before getting that fixed.
