  • Loading modules in a specific order (v4l related)

Ok, so I have a TV Tuner card, which generally creates the /dev/video0 device. I also have a webcam, which, since the TV Tuner card is already loaded, creates /dev/video1. The problem is that some apps won't let me change the video device (at least that I can find, through their configuration, namely ayttm (an instant messenger which theoretically supports Yahoo's webcam (the one thing that I still need windows for)).

So I'm wondering, is there a way to make it load the webcam module first? I'm not sure if /etc/modules loads first before Hotplut or not. I use Debian Unstable, which I know does their modules a little different than RedHat. Basically, the end result, no matter how it occurs, would be to have AYTTM (http://ayttm.sourceforge.net/) work with my webcam.

    Thanks for any suggestions.
