  • SuSE 9.2 is now available for ftp install

well i have downloaded the boot iso, but am thinking of only trying SuSE 9.2 after the mad rush will have subsided as the downloading would prolly be too slow now..

Just in case any of our guys were waiting for SuSE 9.2 ftp!

I just tried running this on my OLD OLD dual P-200 PC that was sitting in the basement. Needless to say it hung up at the "Evaluating Package Selection". I think I was a bit 2 zealous trying to install it so early. I guess I'll wait a week or 2 and try again.

Update : You can now download a DVD iso of SuSE9.2 from their website ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/suse/i386/9.2/iso/
Of course it would be better to use a mirror near you
no CD isoes yet, so for those without DVD-drives it is back to the old SuSE ftp way

If you're running ATI cards and want too install the drivers make sure you install all the source for the kernal and the Gcc compiler otherwise you're stuffed.
