Morphix is specifically made to be customizable.

Depending on the size of the installed system, and whether or not it has to deal with different hardware, you may be able to just make a bootable CD (not sure the exact steps for this) with a compressed disk image, and have a script which partitions the HD and unzips/untars the compressed image to the HD.

Problem is I'm not a Linux expert. Most of the stuff I see on repacking is wriiten towards the expert.

              Heh.

I'd say that one needs to be somewhat of an expert to package an entire operating system

Do you need a CD that boots into the kiosk app, or one that installs the software on the HD (or both)?

I know someone in the UK who does this kind of thing. I think he's pretty busy right now, but if you can subcontract a third party, he may be available (money often does that )

Installs onto the HD and sadly the University won't pay and I don't see why i should pay for the University if you get my drift.

I don't know about debian, but a lot of distros allow you to save a make an install script of an installation after you complete it, would that do the job?

Debian does have something like this. if I can ever remember what it is....

You could just try www.systemimager.org to image the system and then install it on all the other computers you need.

                      Wah! Wah!

In a perfect world... spammers would get caught, go to jail, and share a cell with many men who have enlarged their penises, taken Viagra and are looking for a new relationship.

I'll give that a go since we've now got a machine we can play around with.

Looking at it you still need the same hardware which is the sticking problem more likely than not.
