This system is really fast, I am impressed that it's old but runs circles around my dual AMD Opteron 2.6Ghz system (mind you that's very old by todays standards)
Pretty much everything on the Mac is upgradeable, I can add more ram, I can install two quad core XEON x5355's without issues.
The only problem (and I'm saying this nicely) is the video card. The Mac Pro 1,1 has a 32bit EFI (which apparently is like a BIOS but it's not) most new video cards for Mac only support a 64bit EFI and are not backwards compatible.
I desperately need a CUDA based video card like the Nvidia GTX 285, but I heard it won't work.
