Great scores!!! I guess I had better fire up the old 3.06, get the new drivers, overclock the card, and see what I can do this week.

All you have to do Scratchi, is to wait for a driver update to reach your goal it seems.

        Or maybe a voltmod.

Just to give you gus a idea what people with a card 70% cheaper then you are getting! (with no IQ lowering tweaks get over ~1k more when tweaking them)!

And no I am NOT a NVIDIOT FAN!!!!!!!!!

And yes I am/was a huge M fan but I have decided to skip the P and NO IT WAS NOT BASED ON 3DMARK OR ANY OTHER BENCHMARK!!!!
According to the latest official figures, 43% of all statistics are totally worthless...

I am getting over 19000 with a 9700Pro for $70 less. What is the point of your message?

I get about 6.5k. All my games run smoothly and playably. Your point was what exactly?

I paid $399 for the Parhelia at launch and $329 for my last 9700Pro. I still prefer the Parhelia in most games and certainly on the desktop. In fact from a stability standpoint I would not mind going back to a Ti4600 instead of the 9700Pro.

In what respect do you prefer your parhelia over the Radeon 9700? and why? bingo13

                            1. I find the image clarity, color, and quality is better with the Parhelia in most applications. I can certainly max out the 9700Pro quality settings and set the gama rates to equal and sometimes better the Parhelia. However, it is a time consuming process for every game or app that I want to use compared to an almost click and go process with the Parhelia. I still find the color saturation to be better with the Parhelia.

                            2. Driver Quality- I still find the ATI drivers to be lacking in some areas although they are greatly improved. They break items that worked in previous releases on new releases containing current fix issues. Both my AMD and Intel platforms run more stable with the Matrox drivers. I realize Matrox still has issues with this card but I never see a "gart" issue with it or even think it could be the video card when I do have an issue. With the ATI card I always think video issue first. It might be a bad habit but it is my perception.

                            3. Surround gaming and dual head capabilities.

                            4. Responsive tech support and up until now very good responses at fixing driver issues. I am worried about this area considering the current events at Matrox.

                            5. Game performance while decidely lower in benchmarks than the 9700Pro is smoother to me. The Parhelia does not suffer as much in regards to peaks and valleys in fps measurements. The performance is fine in the type of games I play. It might not be in the next year while the 9700 will probably be okay but I will worry about that when the time comes.

                            6. The 9700Pro is an excellent card and I do not plan on replacing them unless the NV30 is truly a generation better. My user experience with the Parhelia has been better than the 9700. That is what counts in my book.
