What problem are you having ?

Some folks had problems capturing their own video with the G200 Marvel, this should now have been fixed.

Capturing genuine Macrovision sources will result in an error with both G200 and G400.

I don't know of any hacked drivers for G series RRs

I'm also looking for this. I need to be able to capture a Macrovision encoded source (legitimate reasons!!!) - but forgot that I would loose that possibility when I upgraded to Powerdesk 5.*

Anyone? I'd hate to downgrade (and I cannot seem to find old enough files anywhere

the problem was sighted first, when i
        tried to capture a simpsons-episode i
        lend on video.
this tape had the macrovision on it.
o.k. i thought. connected my copy-
        protection-decoder and tried again, but
the matrox again gave out the error-message.
maybe it's not only the macrovision ??
i tried to decode the premiere signal
and it gave out the same error. but premiere
doesn't send out a macrovision signal.
        strange !!
there must be a way :-(( if not, i think
i will sell this shit card and buy a better
one. it's unbelievable that i'm not allowed
to capture the stuff which i want to capture :-

Whether you agree with Macrovision or not (and I don't personally), the reasons why Matrox had to implement it are well documented, and have been discussed at length on this forum.

There were cracked drivers for earlier powerdesk/video tool releases (go see my links page to find out where), but I haven't heard of any updates recently.

Just because you don't agree with Macrovision doesn't make Matrox products "shit".

            Ah well, I gave up.

            PD 4.33m
            VT 1.21

hacked with Marpat03 - thanks again to the author. I guess Matrox won't see me buy a Marvel G400 until someone hacked those drivers.

... now I can do some work ...
