Rainbow Runner G-Series Prob

Hi All,

I've got a rrgs with a g400 dual head (with the latest drivers for both (1.51 and 5.30)
when i record anything (using pc-vcr) the resulting avi turns black/white after a minite or so (i'm using the mjpeg option as my hard drive is only 8.4 megs)
is this a hardware or software fault?
I have re-installed my system from scratch serveral times and i'm coming to my wits end!

any help would be great!

Sometimes this can be caused if the input signal is weak. Unfortunately not all devices output signals that are up to the standards.

If this is the case a small preamp might fix it. Radio Shak sells composite video preamps and small antenna amps, depending on your need. Neither is over $25 or so.

What is the source you're having trouble with?

the same as i use for my Sony tv and the picture is rock solid!!

would i be better advised to use a scart connector and capture from that?

i.e. daisy chain my tv signal to a video in
via scart lead?

if so could you recommend a good scart adapter? (i'm in the UK)

does anybody in england have any trouble capturing from tv?

The driver for G400 DH and RRG are not 5.30
+ 1.51 but 5.25 + 1.51
