  • G400, SCSI and Video capture

    OK! Here's the story.
A friend of mine who is doing video editing and special FX on the PC. He does this almost for a living so I asume he knows what he is talking about.

By using Matrox in general to do video capture the performance of the SCSI card drops to IDE standards! Pushing maybe 5 - 5,5MB/s while i need minimum 8MB/s (I know my Adaptec 2940U2 can do alot more!).
How can the Matrox AGP G400 dualhead 32MB, "steal" resources from the PCI bus?

    Can you help me?

    it seems quite simple..
Matrox G400 is using Bus Masterin as Adaptec
    SCSI card do.
    what to do?
just try to disable Bus Mastering in Matrox's Control Panel.
then check how it works. plz report me what happened.
