is there a tool out there, which can safe all the single pics from an avi file.
i don't mean something like export one pic from an avi. i want all the
pics on my harddisk whithout doing anymore seek in an avi-file and stuff.
just safe every pic the avi-file contains in one pass on my harddisk.

    Oh yes !

If you have Ulead MSP, you can select

FILE/CREATE/ and then drop the "save as type" list and select Ulead Image Sequence (UIS).

This will give you a series of files in format Z1_1.BMP where Z1 is the output filename you chose, and _1 is the frame number.

    A handy little utility

No worries, that's what the site is here for.

Open the Ulead Video Editor and insert your clip onto the timeline.

Now go to the FILE menu, then to CREATE and select VIDEO FILE from the drop-down. Now you should have a "Create video file" dialogue box. Type in the filename you want to create, for instance STILLSERIES. Then click the down arrow to the right of the "Save as type" box, and from the dropdown select "Ulead Image Sequence (UIS)". Now press the "Save" button, and Ulead will do it's stuff. If you now explore the directory where you specified the filename STILLSERIES, you will see a lot of individual files called STILLSERIES_1, STILLSERIES_2 etc. Each file is a still of a frame from your AVI file.
