  • Overscan compensation

    Hello again,

I'm converting some JPGs into 704x480 size for inclusion into a video. Do I need to adjust them in Photoshop to compensate before I place them on an MSP timeline or is there a way to dynamically "shrink" a clip so the output doesn't lose the edges when printing to tape?

    Thanks!

    Richard

The easiest way would probably to adjust them in Photoshop. However, you can do them in MediaStudio using a 2D motion path. Just bring the size down a (8-14%) and they will be in the safe title area. If you are planning on having them fly around anyway than that might be the way to go. Personally, I would adjust them in Photoshop unless I am overlaying them over other clips.

Everyday in everyway we just get better and better....

Thanks! I knew somebody had seen the answer.

I've adjusted them a tad already in Photoshop but don't want to go any tighter on the actual JPGs because I'm not yet sure if this will be a PC based presentation or on TV and don't want to have too much black around the edges.

      Cool! Thanks Kris!
