  • MediaStudio5: $69 USD @ Egghead

Egghead is selling Media Studio Pro 5.0 FULL for only $69.95 at their site. This is a terrific bargain since the 5.2 upgrade is free at Uleads MSP5 FAQ site. Check it out at:

      Thanks.
I think it also means that MS Pro 6.0 is on the way.

        It's also a good launchpad for a 6.0 upgrade pack ;-)

Since everyone here says Media Studio 5.2 is the way to make the Marvel G200 work I got one of these from Egghead last week.

If what Doc refers to is the same, although they show the full box, what they ship is a bundle version clearly marked "not for resale". It does include the registration card, but it may or may not be a good vehicle for a 6.0 update depending on how Ulead treats these OEM bundle serial numbers.

Haven't had a chance to try it yet, but I hope its half as good as y'all are saying.

They don't treat them at all. I registered my 5.2 update pack even though I've never registered 5.0 or any other previous version ;-))

My guess is that Ulead won't allow a cheap upgrade to 6.0 unless one bought the upgrade or full version and not the OEM versions floating around on egghead. The 5.2 version at $69 or whatever is a great deal though. I don't feel a need to upgrade as the 5.2 has more stuff in it that I can't begin to use properly! I do wish they would put some good audio filters in it though like equalizers, high pass filters, compressors, etc. instead of having to import them into Cool edit 96 or even soundforge demo (btw-does anyone know what the demo time liimit is on soundforge-it once screwed my audio up because it ran out of time but when I used it again it went for at least 10 minutes)

I paid $45 for MSP 5.0 at auction last weekend at Egghead. Watch closely as they have them everyday. Don't pay too much.
