G400 Max & R-Runner

I have read that the Rainbow Runner daughtercard can work in conjunction with the G400/G400 Max, and I have been thinking about buying it. But a couple of questions come to mind before I shell out the money:

1) Is there a special version of the R-Runner card I need, or does the stock R-Runner work with the G200 as well as the G400/Max?

2) Right now I have the Max sitting on an IRQ by its lonesome, with PCI 1 slot empty (the others are filled). I understand the R-Runner takes up a slot, and PCI 1 shares the IRQ with the AGP slot on my mobo. Will such a configuration work well (or at all), or will I have to relinquish an existing PCI card?

You need to make sure that you get a G-series rainbow runner, not one of the older RR studios.

The RR does not need a seperate IRQ although it does need a PCI slot
