  • Blur Effect in MSP?

Can I regionalize a Blur effect in MSP to blur out a television station's insignia? And yes, I am a rookie at this NLE stuff but I love it. Thanks!

Yes you can and there are several ways. This one might be the easiest for you as a novice. In MSP5.2, choose the clip you want, the go to the production library in the video filters area. Drag and drop the blur effect and apply it to the clip, drop it in VA. Then add another copy of the same clip and drop it in VB. Use whatever type of wipe you need (circle or square most likely)to pick the area to blur and set the degree at both ends to reveal the portions you want. You can use the little postioner thingie to get the position set. Let me know if you can't figure out my explanation. I've been accused of many things, the only one they can prove is that I'm a bad teacher...
