    Well Elie!

I must say that I agree on your viewpoint about Canadian women and the cultural mixture. Been to Canada twice and CERTAINLY gonna go again!

About cars.....naaah, no Italians for me! They're NOT build for the Nordic climate! And our roads leave room for improvement. The Italians STILL have to completely change their mentality to building cars that are not full of electrical-failures, bad assemblance and so forth......but true, if I ever win the lottery, I'm gonna buy a Ferrari 456 GT, Midnightblue!

      Hi Grigory/Patrick

Grigory, I just had to comment on ->
"This is not true for the following comparisons:
      SVHS-RR@352-VHS is EQUAL to SVHS-VHS
      VHS-RR@352-VHS is EQUAL to VHS-VHS"

In my thread G200 -> Mpeg wont go! I state my fealings on this issue with the Marvel G200 - I think it is so bad generally that which is best is almost irrelevant! I am tempted to go back to linear despite the drawbacks.

Patrick at 48, I agree 100% with your comments on women - looks, personality etc.

By the way isnt Chris lucky?

      Cheers all.

      Biker

        Hi Biker,

I'm glad that you apparently enjoyed my treatise on beautiful women. I sometimes wonder if delving that far off-topic is appreciated or not by forum regulars.

Yes, it sounds like Chris is extremely fortunate. I envy him. Although it may sound like I know exactly what to look for in regards to women, at age 44 I'm still searching. Hmmm......maybe I'm the problem!

Mebbe I make it all sound too glamourous

At 40 I know which side my bread is buttered, and have the advantage of a lady with character (she's Scottish), ability (she's studying for professional accountancy qualifications) and good looks (in my book at least). What's more, she doesn't object when I spend 16 hours a day tied to this damned box of tricks in front of me. Well not often anyways.

          I'm sure that I'm not unique !

Just popped in and wishing to comment on this resolution debate.

I'm not 100% sure about this yet, but having examined some of the AVI-files I grabbed using my G400 Marvel (having the same MJPEG-encoding chip as the Rainbow Runner), i found out that when i choose to grab video in a 704x576 resolution, the actual JPEGS in the MJPEG stream only have a resolution of 704x288. Can anyone confirm if this is right?

            Brian
