DV Camcorder choice

Greetings all!

Has there been threads relating to the various camcorders available at the various price ranges? Pros - cons and whatnot?

I find myself lustful and would like to become educated.

Not to sound rude, but I suggest you use the Search function. There are several large, informative threads.

The Digital8 and MiniDV camps are getting pretty worn out here rehashing this same stuff over and over again.

I second what Patrick states. Also, go to your local bookstore or whatever and buy something like Camcorder & Computer Video, if you can afford $3.99. It has a lot of informative editorial matter and ads.

If you have access to the UK, Camcorder User (£2.85/month) has an extremely good buyers' guide, comparing and scoring every camera sold in the UK. However, the specs may vary somewhat between the UK and the USA, but it will give you an excellent idea what to look for.

It pays to spend as much as you can afford, or even more!.
