  • video Capture trouble

I am bought a Marvel G400-TV and installed them in my Pentium III 600 system. Everything was working fine (2D, 3D, TV, line in/out, etc). But when I try to capture some sequence to HD, the software (VCR-Remote) says "Your video signal is instable or the video settings are not correct". I'd tried all the video sources and capture settings combinations, but the problem remains. I started to think my board come with a hardware defect...
If someone had any sugestions before I send my board back to matrox I'll thanks...

    My system is:
    PIII 600 256 Mb
    HD Western Digital 13.5GB
    Sound Blaster Live!
    ZIP Internal
    CD-ROM Creative 48X

    fabioman,

Make sure that you have the correct video standard selected (NTSC, PAL).

Did you run the Quick Connect test utility ? This writes initial settings into the registry.

Hi people. I'm used Quick Connect with success. The preview images from the sources are clear, sharp and in color. So, I think there's no problem with the color system or the signal incomming. I'm using a VHS VCR (NTSC) as source with the NTSC version of the Marvel. I'm also used a small program called CPU Benchmark, (included in Video Tools folder). When I run this utility, I receive a message like this:
        "Cannot found compressor"
and no tests are performed. Any sugestions?
