  • Macrovision crack for vid tools 1.51?

I read on a recent post that a guy called Sun claimed he has made a crack for video tools 1.51. Did anyone manage to get this crack off him and if so, does it disable the macrovision on the video output?

If anyone has this crack can they post a link for all to download? Thanks. :-)

Okay, one chance, then that's it. This isn't a charity you know ;-)

Your damned right this isn't a charity. But if anyone wants to make contribution to the "give This_Idiots kids a Christmas" cause, email me for details. I think that a major sponsorship from Lego would help out quite nicely

OK, Sun has emailed me the goods (In the last half hour). Now I know that you wouldn't want me to dish the candy without tasting myself, so If I don't respond within 24 hours you'll know that Sun's middle name is Borgia.

Boy, do you guys drive a hard deal for free!

                      Hi guys,

I just recieved a copy of the crack via email from Sun himself. Thanks mate! It's a small .exe that you run in the windows/system directory which cracks two vid tools dll's (can't remember which ones).

I just performed a quick test with my macrovision protected copy of "Starship Troopers" and it captured without a hitch.

On the other hand when I tried to watch a DVD movie via the TV out into my video recorder the dreaded "contrast pulse" kicked in. I was hoping that this patch would eliminate the macrovision on the video output as well. I guess if we all bug Sun enough he might give us all what we want ;-)

P.S. If anyone wants a copy of the patch right now i've put a copy up on my web site, here's the URL: Macrovision crack for Video Tools 1.51

Ohh, and while you're there, check out my Avrigus web site, there's some nice MP3's from my band to download (shameless plug) :-)

It's also up on the downloads section of the site.

I don't think the language should be a problem at all.

I did give it a blast earlier, and it solved the MV problem from a well known manufacturer of MV tapes. However, since MV also weakens the signal, patches of the display were flickery (although captured OK)
