  • "Unable to access codec driver" in MSP 5.2

I'm using Ulead MSP 5.2 and when I try to create a video file from my project, I get "Unable to access codec driver". For the settings, I have it set to Matrox MJPEG compression. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

    Hi Odin,

have you used the croppingfunction when creating the videofile? When using this I always got this message. Leaving the option helped me.

    Happy editing,

The only way i have found around this (without scarificing quality) is to uncompress the file to raw avi, then crop that, then compress it using whatever you want. But the only problem is this takes forever and you have to have a really big hard drive...

          Hi !

Did you try the "Keep original size" option in the cropping-form ?

The Matrox-codec only will work with some special resolutions like 352x288 or 704x576 (PAL). If you use the cropping function without keeping the original size, the Matrox codec will not work.

          Bye, Uwe.
