  • Yet another problem with my Marvel G-400, Please read.

    Well, i still have that buzzing sound comming in through my line in, if anyone knows how to fix that tell me.

    My new problem is that i cant run the PC-VCR software in 1024x768 16-bit, if i attempt to run the PC-VCR software in this resoultion then it crashes with a invalid page fault and completly freezes the computer. If i change my resoultion to 800x600 16 bit it works normally. weird

    If anyone knows how to fix either of the two problems please let me know.

    I don't know about your second problem, but just so you're not left completely in the dark, a lot of times the second problem is related to the breakout box hookup. If you're not using RF-IN (i.e. you're not watching TV), then you might as well skip it.

    Otherwise, make sure that the right end is connected into your sound card. The "audio out" of the BOB should connect to your sound card's "line in." Make sure there's firm connections everywhere.

    The buzzing sound might also be there just because you're not doing anything with the BOB and it internally cuts off that connection, essentially making the line-in cord an antenna. That's one reason I skip the BOB when hooking up any audio.

    Also, check your volume settings and turn off whatever you're not using. Often the microphone should be muted, since there's a lot of amplification and therefore a lot of hum on that channel for some cards.

    Once again, if you're not watching TV, I suggest you just skip the BOB for audio altogether.

    Tell me what happens;
