Media Studio Pro 5.2 Problems

System Spec - PIII-600,196Mb Ram,
CL GeForce256 Annilator Pro (DDR 32Mb), DC30+.DX7 etc etc etc

I have been running with Premier 5.1c for some time now and decided to reinstall Media Studio Pro 5.2 as it's better for working with stills than Premier.

Everything works fine with the exception of the D3D effects (flip, cube, etc)as none of them work. All I get is a blank square in the production library folder/3D transitions after I copy them from the 3D_Plug folder into the VFX folder. I have tried deinstalling and reinstalling with no joy.

As soon as I try to run one of them MSP crashes.

I have had a similar problem with a ATI Rage Fury installed in my sytem.


Has anyone come across this before.

This is a very common problem
that ONLY affects those who
find the "3D" transitions and
attempt to use them with a
video display card that doesn't
support them.

Only some video display cards
work with those particular 3d
transitions.

I'm not sure which display adapters
work with those transitions. After
reading about the problems others
were running into... I decided to
simply leave them alone. I use
Artel Software's "BorisFX 3.5.5"
for 3D transition power.
