  • Marvel G400 Not Recording Properly

When i hook up the BOB to my console systems (Playstation, Dreamcast) and set PC-VCR to record at 30 fps, high quality video and sound the output .AVI comes out to 40 FPS, why is this? i can't figure it out, i keep setting it to 30 fps and it keeps comming out at 40.. If i set it to record at 15 fps it comes out as 20 fps..

    Hi Phire,

I can't answer your question directly, but I know that when I tried to video the output from our Megadrive to a VCR, it was a complete disaster. The recorded picture was tiny and the colours completely over-saturated and bleeding into each other.

I don't know if you notice the pattern there, but the frame rates add 1/3 of itself to get the final one...eg. 30 + 10 = 40
      15 + 5 = 20
why don't you try 22fps? it might add to 29

I've captured from both my Dreamcast and Playstation. I had a problem with the picture 'bouncing' but a quick resolution change to 640x480 solved that problem. The playstation still goes blank every once in a while and my Atari Jaguar just doesn't want to cooperate all.
