  • Quality of DV on monitor? Uhh

    DVE

I was @ a store just today and I played around a-bit with a imac DV ready machine.
These things are fast even at 350Mhz.
Well they had attached a Sony Hi-8 Cam to it and everything seemed exceptionally well except for some areas where jagged lines appeared on the monitor. This only appeared on some parts of the video. Resolution was clear and colors seemed great and rich. The only thing that bothered me was that aliase look on different parts of the clips or (live video). It's sort of like the borders of certain things pixalate; I don't have a I-link on my VAIO or Firewire, but it appears to me this is a DV thing.
Do any of you have a machine with IEEE1394 and have you experienced what I described above?
Does this flaw appear only on the Monitor and not the TV set?

    Hi Cut ter

We haven't managed to jump on the Imac bandwagon yet. CV reviewed one back in the December issue, but there seems to have been some discussion over the whole thing on their forums.

Follow the Computer Video link from the main site here and see if you can pull out the appropriate threads.
