  • ULead Media Pro 6.0

    Ulead has released MediaStudio Pro 6.0 it seems everywhere except North America. The eval download didn't seem to work for me, but hopefully they'll fix it soon.

      See also http://www.videounlimited.de/mediastudio/fastneu.htm
      for an English-language summary of what it will do.

      The upgrade price to 6.0 full version from 5.2 or 5.2 VE in Germany is equivalent to about $200 (US)

      It seems that DV support must have PIII or equivalent and W98SE or 2000.

      Problem: ulead.com doesn't want to know outside of N. America
      ulead.de is only interested in the German version
      uleadasia.com is not interested in Europe

      Anyone know where there is a European English-language site for support?

        Sorry I can't find V6 when I register to download, perhaps it's because I gave a UK address, V5 is all that's available.

        ADS have announced a MS Pro v6 lite version with their new soon to be released Pyro package. see http://www.adstech.com/news1_more.html

        Lossless DV editing is here and getting better.

          As for the M.I.A. MSP6 file my bet is that the page is still under construction. Give it a few days.

          In the meantime here's a first tip for MSP 6.0. I'm not sure if it'll work in the trial version though.

          Add to c:\windows\ulead32.ini the following;

          [VIODRIVER]
          Advance=1

          This will activate the "Advanced" button on the MPEG render options page and give you full (and I mean FULL) control over your GoMotion MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 renders.

          This is similar in function to the "Advanced" button in the Ligos LSX encoder, meaning it gives you about 8 more MPEG setup pages to play with.
