G400M-TV: only B&W output on TV and VCR

Does anyone know the solution to my problem:

My Marvel G400-TV just gives b&w output to my TV and VCR. The b&w
checkboxes in the advanced display properties are unchecked and the TV
standard is set to PAL (as it should be for my country).

I tried a second television, directly connected to the breakout box, but

had the same problem.

I tried all video connection possibilities on the breakout box and used
the latest drivers and tools (also the feb 4-2000 ones).

My system:

PIII-500, P2B-S, win98se, 128MB

If you know the solution, please let me know.

Is this your first time installation of the Marvel, ie. has it worked previously ?

When you installed the VideoTools, did you run the QuickConnect successfully, ie. you got the test pattern on your TV in colour ?

The composite connectors are the safest choice to use when you encounter problems (there are problems especially when using S-Video in connection with SCART).

What kind of video are you trying to play to your TV ? (it's not a NTSC DVD, is it ?)
