G400 MAX DH Grey TV output

I know this message has been posted before, but the answers didn't satify me.

I have a Matrox G400 DH Max. I connected a SVHS cable to the G400 (using the VGA->SVHS plug) and the other side of the SVHS cable goes in a SVHS->SCART plug. I only get Black&white output. Why?

Is it just impossible to get colour using these cables or is there another solution?

What receiving device are you using ? Is it a S-VHS video deck or TV ?

it is connected to a samsung 28" television scart plug...

Hi Frenzy,

are you sure that your TV can handle the SVHS-signal via SCART ?

Most TVs only are able to understand the Composite-signal via SCART, so I would recommend to use a composite to SCART adapter first.
