  • Error between resolution and compression ratio

I've got a Marvel G200.I 've installed the new drivers. My video mode is PAL.
Before i installed new driver, i was used resolution 704x576 (full) with compression ratio 6.6:1 in 25 images/s.
Now, when i put slider resolution to full 704x576 my ratio is 11.0:1, and if i try to grow slider in ratio 6.6:1, the slider of the resolution decrease To 352x576 with 12 im/s.
then, i must clic on default config icon but i 've got the same result.

I've you got an idea to help me.

    Thanks
(i'm french, sorry for my poor english language)

Run Matrox HD Benchmark, if your harddisk transfer rate > 3.1 MB/S, it will let you capture full rez, best quality. If not, your harddisk is too slow for the capture.

My Harddisk transfer rate is > 10 MB/S (WesternDigital 18 Go 7200 prm)

I don't think that the Probleme is my Harddisk.

You should run the HD Benchmark in order to update the registry settings for your Harddisk(s). Apparently they are reset to some default value when installing the new drivers.

If you are not capturing to a dedicated and empty partition, you should defrag the capturing partition.
Run the Matrox HD benchmark, and if yor results are high enough, you will get the options back.

You could also edit the values in the Registry (providing that you HAVE run the Matrox HD benchmark after your driver update).
