  • DVD capture?

    Hi folks,
I ventured over here from some of the other forums, hoping that someone could help me out.
I'm doing a presentation in my Ethics class, and I want to show a movie clip during my presentation. I'm going to try to get a hold of the VHS tape, but if I get the DVD, can I capture the picture, and then use it. It can be reduced quality, and I only need a few minutes of the movie.

Any ideas on this? I appreciate it.

    Wombat

I'm not supposed to encourage this but there's a hack to disable macrovision somewhere on MURC

I'm sorry. I realize that my last post was unclear. I don't mean that I want to record the DVD on to a VHS tape.
Can I grab the DVD image, and store it in a file, that I can copy from computer to computer, or put on a CD? I can't lug the entire .VOB file, obviously.
