Help! More RR-G tuner woes...
I own a RR-G mated to a g400 dual head 32 mb board. Everything is installed on a BP6 board with dual celerons.
My problem is I can't get consistent reception from the tuner. One day it will work fine, the other day I only get a few channels not labeled correctly (channel 5 would be tuned in on 6 etc.)When this happens, the video tab shows automatic box checked, and secam is selected. This does not sound right for canada(NTSC isn't it?) Anyway at that point even if I change to NTSC it does not help reception. I'm using powerdesk 5.52 and videotools 1.52.
My power supply should be fine as I changed to a "matrox approved" PS (Antec p303x 300W).
It seems to be a driver issue now as the times the tuner has worked it was after a reinstall. I'd lose it on reboot. Although now I don't seem to be able to make it work anymore using the reinstall. Video shadowing is off in the bios and pnp OS is set to no (if I set it to yes, my ISA modem quits on me...)Anyway it did not help when I tried it.
