no sound with YUY2

it's kinda funny, i set the colorformat to YUY2, then the sound just disappears. when it loads the vidcap driver, it wipes out the sound, and only the picture is recorded. however, after i exit Ulead capture or Pc-Vcr, the sound kicks in and wont stop... plz help thanks in advance

btw, aint it funny that the whole purpose of the RRG is hardware mjpeg, yet some peeps uses YUY2 and software mpg4...

Yo! I don't suppose this could be because you're routing sound through the little blue box?

Most of us have taken to bypassing it for sound. It has an annoying switch inside that turns audio on or off based on whether you're watching TV or not. It doesn't always work.

Besides that, the labels are blasted confusing. If you plug all sound-related stuff straight into your sound card, what happens?

i have a RRG.

i tried plugging it into the soundcard's line-in, but the sound is not recorded when i capture the video with ulead capture...
