  • Premiere .ini file modification? Stop crashes?

    My premiere is having problems where it just freezes when I am scrubing the time line. I read a post
    "Did you edit the Prem50.ini? It is located in the settings folder of the Premiere program folder. It should have the following:
    [Override]
    NoDirectShow=1
    [codec]
    keepopen=dmb1"
    I don't seem to have a Prem50.ini
    Can anyone shed some light on this and do you think a mod like that would help me?
    thanx.

    Use a simple Text editor, and save the file as Prem50.ini into the Premiere Folder. The text file should content following lines:

    [Override]
    NoDirectShow=1

    [codec]
    keepopen=dmb1

    That should stop the crashes. If you still have any other prolems, search for other discussions in this forum. Many people have the same problems with Premiere.
