  • Variable Bit Rates in MSPro6

    Just playing with my newly received MSPro6. I noticed that in VideoCapture that under the "Advanced" controls there is no switch for changing from fixed to variable bit rate control. The Help file for this page indicates that it should be there (pull it up and see). So, was this a switch that Ulead disabled at the last minute or is there a reg hack to make this switch appear or ....??? I have seen this control in Ligos demo's that I have downloaded. I wanted to go variable during MPEG2 to increase quality while keeping the file size down. Any ideas?

    In the C:\WINDOWS\Ulead32.ini file look for this section:
    [VIODRIVER]

    Now add this entry to it;

    Advance=1

    This activates the Advanced MPEG/MPEG2 render options in MSP6.

      I should have mentioned that I had already added the "Advance=1" entry in my Ulead32.ini file. Best I can tell this makes the advanced features available in VideoEditor but not VideoCapture.

          cjyo~, stlloyd,
          I couldn't find any [VIODRIVER] in the Ulead32.ini, so I aded it and the Advance=1 line too. It has no effects in the Video Editor 6.0, but the MSP6 works fine anyway, as before, without this line.
