Problems encoding live feed to asf...

I downloaded Windows Media Tools and tried encoding a live feed from my RR-G and it works for maybe about 1 minute then it crashes and gives me this error:

"NSREX caused an invalid page fault in module RRAPI.DLL"

I went to microsoft's site and found this page http://support.microsoft.com/support.../q255/9/45.ASP . basically it says that Windows Media Tools does not work with video cards that encode MJPEG. Also the RRG is not on the list of supported cards. Is there any fix for this or am I going to have to go out and purchase an "ATI All In Wonder"? Thanks for any help!

Hi Mitchel,

Live encoding to ASF didn't work for me either; in my case, my output is all "squiggly" (it looks like a bunch of diagonal squiggly lines in the colour scheme of my input). Audio's fine, however.

I used the old MPEG4 video codecs available on This Idiot's guide to desktop video. Before that, it WME wouldn't even detect the video signal.

I found that WME works fine however, to transcode avi to asf.
