  • Windows Media Encoder and copy protection

I was using the Windows Media Encoder to stream live video to my webserver from a video camera connected to the computer via the RR-G. Every so often the media encoder will give me a message saying that it stopped encoding because it detects that the video source is copy protected material. Anyone got any idea of a way to fix this?

The "it" complaining about copy-protected video could only be the RR-G. There's plenty of posts around here on macrovision protection, etc. and how to get around it.

Use the search feature in the upper-right hand corner with the keyword "macrovision;" you're bound to find a lot.
