I re-installed the NT4 PD 4.35 and after I installed the NT4 VT it works. (with G200 Marvel)

I'm able to watch line-in and tv channels. They look fine.
I didn't do any captures yet.

I never use the PD setup.exe. In the Device Manager I brought up properties of the G200 and selected 'Update Driver' from the Driver tab.

It fussed about it not being digitally signed by Microsoft, etc., but it's working fine.

OK , I understand. That's something I can't do as I have a G400: no dirvers on the win CD, so I have to start up from VGA.
              Thanks a lot

I am watching the TV and it's worthless.
If I switch it on it is even worse.

Well, you should have a standard VGA card in your Device Manager. Just update the driver there.

If I start from Device Manager and try to update the VGA driver, when I choose the Matrox .inf file, it tells me there is no update for VGA and it quits.

When you click on "update driver", choose second option ("Display a list..."), then "Have Disk" and point to the folder with unpacked PD tools.

But, you can definitely get problems with older drivers...

                      Algo,
How do you install PD4.35 NT? When I try, it stalls in the middle of setup, just when the Display Properties applet is launched.
If I try to install from Add new Hardware, installation goes through, but Win2K cannot boot anymore.
                      Help please.

OK, I tried to install PD4.35 from setup, from install new hardware, from upgrade drivers, but each time I end up with the same situation: Win2K halts at mid-booting and I have to press reset. I will stick with the W2K drivers.
                        Anyway, thanks to all.
Now for something funny: I reinstalled my old Pinnacle PCTV card and installed the latest drivers and software (Studio PCTV 4.0, beta release for W2K). And guess what: the tuner works like a dream but ... no video picture in the overlay window!!!!
Does this sound familiar? Would it be that the Video Tools in fact do work, but the W2K drivers don't support the overlay properly?
Fortunately, the Pinnacle TV software allow you to use the so called "primary surface overlay" and then it works properly and I can even capture movies.
