    Aside from the fanatics, is 20 dropped frams per HOUR bad, awerage, disaster?

    It really depends on what you are capturing with. I would say with AVI_IO that that is about average. AVI_IO is the only program that I know of that will keep audio sync in long captures and it does that by intentionally dropping "fake" frames so that the video can catch up to the audio.

    I would say that if you were capturing an hour and had 0 dropped frames that your audio would probably out of sync.
