  • VideoTools in Win2k

I had nothing but problems running this in Win2k. Frame drops every 4 seconds, audio stinks it keeps making vibrating noises, and the image it captures isn't as good. I installed win98se and it never gave me any problems. not 1 frame drop, audio is perfect, image is not grainy. I guess it's b/c the drivers are still beta but never again will i installed win2k untill the drivers are final and all bugs will be fixed. This is what i had running in win2k..

Latest drivers for my cap card and software.

I tried many different settings it still was crap. there was no hardware issues, and i made sure to reboot the OS everytime before i captured to clear the cache. after talking to other people who have this cap card they said the same thing. It droped frames and audio was poo. I'd advise not to installed win2k if your using this card for it stinks. Im there are some people who it works fine with. but the majority of people that i talked to had the same problems. It's very sad that i have to run win98se again, i dont like it at all. Win2k is much more stable and it never gave me problems with uptime.

i forgot to mention. This is what i used in win2k

352X240 30fps (29.97fps drops frames even more, so i cant use it)
    ntsc/vcd

win98se i captured the same settings and i can now use 29.97fps.
