Did anybody try yet one of these new combination boards with the ultra fast USB?

If yes, how do they fare in comparison with the boards usually suggested in thies forum, like the Pyro 1394 DV? Any recommendations yet?

The OrangeLink board with 2 external/1 internal OHCI based, 400 Mbits/second IEEE 1394 ports, and 3 external/1 internal USB 2.0 compliant, EHCI based 480 Mbits/second ports looks very promising.

Unless Orange Micro has dumped their use of the NEC 1394 chip or NEC has a new version I've not yet heard about, you'll have a high probability of problems with DV playback from 1394 drives.

I've no experience with USB2 (and little interest in it).
My experience is with the OM 1394/ethernet board -- major dissappointment. I thought it was a great "slot saver" solution until I got a 1394 drive. OM tech support reply was "insure no other device is hooked to the 1394 ports besides the DV camcorder" makes one wonder why they put more than one 1394 connector on it!
