  • Audio problem with g450

I am hoping someone can help me out here. I am running a p3 1ghz with the g450 and plenty of HD space. The problem is a hissing/crackling that I get when capturing. The video appears to play fine during capture, but when I play it back, after capture there is a very distinct hissing/crackly noise underlying all the audio. I have been dealing with this issue from the beginning, and I am getting very discouraged. My sound card is a soundblaster live, but I have not been able to find any conflicts thus far. The hissing seems much less distinct when capturing in virtual dub or avi_io but I drop a million frames. (this is a whole other issue)
I have captured in just sound recorder also, but the hissing isn't really a problem there either. It seems like it happens only in pcvcr. Any suggestions? Thanks, Cels

      Hi

If you're using a via chipset, and can't fix the problem, might want to check this out :

Just came across it the other day, and someone much more technical then I said it's possible.
