  • Can't install videotools in win2k

I finally got around to reinstalling win2k and attempting to install the final drivers for my g400tv.

the display driver installed without a problem.

however, the video tools hung up part way through. a dialog box comes up with the message, "can't find Matrox .... .Msi"

    ne1 else getting this message?

I finally got it to install by "finding" the Matrox Video Tools.Msi file it was looking for.

But, still doesn't work. I'm getting a "can't initialize driver" error now.

After tyring every combination and reinstalling drivers, i finally got everything working.

i switched to single user mode (auto login) and reinstalled. now everything works great.
