I'm doing some streaming encoding and am trying to compare quality (56k, 100k, and 300k files in real8, quicktime, and wmv8). The only problem is that I have poor methods to view the files and compare. Using Media Player 7 stinks for the WMV8 files because I cannot open multiple instances of it (same problem with Real Player). Quicktime works well because I am able to open multiple players. I have been scrounging the net looking for a way to open multiple instances of those players to no avail.
Ideally, I would want a viewing program able to open those formats that can have multiple instances of the player open. The best thing of course, would be if the player could go to specified frames (then i could do exact comparisons). Does anyone have any advice on what would be the best thing to do? Thanks a lot.
