  • Marvel G200/Win2k driver question

I have a Marvel G200 which I'd like to use under Windows 2000. Which combination of drivers allows me to do basic YUY2/MJPG capturing? If I install the latest "official" drivers and videotools, which DLL's should be replaced? Or should I rather install the "leaked" stuff?

This is only meant for occasional MJPG (and maybe YUY2) capturing, since I use a separate Win98 disk for "serious" capturing.

I have read several postings here regarding this topic, but all users involved had a G400 so I'm unsure whether we're talking about the same DLL's....
Resistance is futile - Microborg will assimilate you.

I wasted an afternoon permuting the G200 W2K final and "leaked" driver combinations. No luck. Anything that enabled MJPEG capture crashed/locked-up.

Basically best you can do is install the final drivers and try a third party capture app like AVI_IO and a software codec. No hope of output back to tape unless full screen playback with "TVout" enabled is good enough for your needs.

G200 Marvel is basically useless on W2K :-(
      Sad, but true.
